Lois Deloatch (formerly Lois Dawson) premiers two new projects this season: Reflection, a recording of classic and original compositions scheduled for release this winter and Liberation, a concert featuring provocative interpretations of classic soul and spirituals written and/or made famous by music icons such as Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Donny Hathaway and others.

With musical sensibilities steeped in the African American tradition—jazz, blues, and spirituals—Lois’s performances are “…storytelling at its best.” Her creativity spans numerous art forms and Deloatch forges bold and innovative collaborations with musicians, authors, actors, dancers and artists from a variety of mediums.
